Who We Are and What We Do

JJWP Consultants  was founded with three goals in mind, assiting in research using the internet and aa series of contacts that Dick Jaeger has made in over 35 years of experience in the International Field as well as 12 years in Genealogy research; publishing whether professional or retail web sites, genealogy sites or personal home pages on the interest  or advise on how to put a family heritage book together in hard copy. Dick's heritage book using a scrapbook format and produced with his wife , Caryn Jaeger, has been written up in the Detroit Jewish News and the Detroit Free Press and covers over 600 years of family history and documents.; and finally Genealogy Consulting, Dick and Caryn have also been speakers at the Jewish Genealogical Society of Michigan on Preserving History.

Dick began his career in 1964 and spent the majority of his professional life in the international field where he authored two books on International Country Information including political, economic and tax information that had been standards for the international insurance industry and international risk management for over 25 years. During that time he developed resources in 120 countries and visited countries on virtually every continent other than Antarctica. In the early 1990's, Dick saw the  future of both smaller non-mainframe computers and of this amorphous thing called "the internet" and taught himself programming. He would spend 11 years as a programmer, using object oriented programming such as VB, C++ and C#, and Java Script as well as main frame programming.

In 1996, Dick began to explore his own family history and has continued to do so for 12 years with the expectation of many more years of research and finding new and exciting information. His own research has taken what he thought was a family of about 150 including known ancestors to a database of over 50,000 with 23,000 plus families and verified information going back six centuries and possibly more depending on the sources used or accepted.

Dick is a graduate of the City University of New York and the College of Insurance in New York as well as having been elected to the Society of CPCU, the American Society of International Law, and several  other international associations. He and his wife life in Michigan were JJWP Consultants is headquartered.
